Diem has started doing pre-production on a new CD. She is working with Bryant Didier and a lot of A List session players – for a sneak preview of one of the songs, “How many Times?” check out her Video page! It’s video # 3 and video #4 is a really hot version of “Where Are All the Children?”
Both songs were recorded at the Socialist May Day Celebration at the Free Times Café on Saturday, May 2nd.
Diem is lining up and hoping for some grant money to study vocals and guitar so she can kick it all up a few notches! She’s also seeking to do some co-writing with a few people – yet to be named. She’s also working on getting to Rome to study the repertoire of Gabriella Ferri – who many folks in the know say Diem reminds them of: revolutionary big voiced plain talking powerful woman!!!!
Dear Friends – lots of news. So much, infact, I’m too busy to focus on news – just catch me at my regular Sunday Outpost Coffee Roaster’s Totally Acoustic Gig – www.outpostcoffee.com or I’m turning my news into songs and poems!

Diem had the honour of performing at the famous music venue The Ironwood Grill as part of the SOCAN SONGWRITERS’ CIRCLE. She was featured with Maria Dunn, Stephen Fearing, and Justin Rutledge!
Here is a link to the performances and a fabulously supportive radio station: http://www.ckua.com/12/02/13/2013-CFMAs-Songwriter-Circle-/landing.html?blockID=727549&feedID=7375
I imagine the creator creating Mother Nature and sadly watching as her daughter – the earth – climbs out of bed once again to deal with the crumbs of ignorance. At first she picks one or two out. Then she swipes the sheets a few times. Eventually for awhile she is regularly shaking the sheets. Then she changes them. Next she then flips the mattress. She has done all this and still we are here and not getting her message. And now we are getting the cold shoulder on the great turtle while she rages with fever on other parts of her beautiful abused body.
…. great spirits come… the rivers rise the mountains fall… we are all connected….
